👥 Climate Action Data 2.0 (CAD2.0) community members maintain various stakeholder maps for climate action initiatives.

Mapping stakeholders within an ecosystem is crucial for understanding and engaging with diverse actors in different contexts, especially in complex data ecosystems (ul Hassan, 2021). A stakeholder map is a visual representation categorizing key stakeholders based on different qualities such as their level of influence and interest in a project or initiative. Key considerations involve reducing information translation friction, promoting stakeholder participation for accurate and up-to-date data, and exploring automation to streamline the mapping process. Establishing clear definitions and data collection taxonomy for each entity facilitates collaboration. Furthermore, avoiding duplication of efforts, identifying collaboration opportunities, and utilizing downloadable data for fundraising and decision-making purposes are also essential aspects to consider in comprehensive stakeholder mapping. Each climate action stakeholder map listed below is maintained by a different organization, through a different lens, with a different purpose. Within the CAD2.0 community there are a variety of stakeholder maps maintained by different organizations.

Below are a few example stakeholder maps from Climate Action Data 2.0 (CAD2.0) community members.
